Rima Salah

Dr. Rima Salah served on the UN High-Level Independent Panel on Peace Operations and as deputy special representative in the Central African Republic and Chad. Notably, she held key roles at UNICEF, including deputy executive director and regional director for West and Central Africa. Recognized for advocating children's and women's rights in conflict, she contributed to UN Security Council resolutions. Salah has received numerous awards, including the French Legion of Honor and the 2021 Peacemaker Award. Elected chair of the Early Childhood Peace Consortium, she co-edited Pathways to Peace and currently works at the Child Study Center, Yale School of Medicine.
